When booking please choose your start date and time from the options listed below. By selecting your start date and time you are agreeing to attend the consecutive classes that follow from your start date, at the same time until the end of your 6 week course.

6 Week Handbuilding Course - All Levels

Suitable for complete newcomers to clay, and people looking to improve on their skills after a beginners course. This 2.5 hour class either on an afternoon (2pm) or evening (6:30pm) runs once a week on Tuesdays for 6 weeks.

During the course you will learn to prepare clay; hand build a pot by coiling and pinching; rolling out slab; using a template; use a press mold; decorating & mark making techniques; and have an introduction to glazing and various decorative techniques.

Classes are kept small with a maximum of 6 people per class. You pay one fee for the clay, glaze and firing at the leather-hard stage after the work has been turned, this rate is currently £10 per kilo.

There will be essential Health and Safety advice in the first week and ongoing instruction as required during the course. You are advised to arrive on time and not to miss a class as the courses are structured so you learn progressively and consistently.

November to December Cycle -

Every Tuesday starting November 5th until December 10th, with classes running for 2.5 hours at 2pm or 6:30pm. Taught by Lindy.

January to February 2025 Cycle -

Every Tuesday starting January 7th until February 11th, with classes running for 2.5 hours at 2pm or 6:30pm. Taught by Lindy.
