6 Week Throwing Course - All Levels

Suitable for complete newcomers to clay, or people looking to improve their skills after a beginners course. This course runs once a week on Thursdays for two and half hours over a 6 week period. Choose between a morning (10am), afternoon (2pm) or evening (6:30pm) slot.
For January 2025 we will have a new Monday morning 6 week throwing course, running from January 6th to February 10th, with classes starting at 9am for two and half hours.
The first three classes will be focusing on the basics of throwing on the wheel, beginning with how to centre and pull a cylinder and moving on how to stretch the clay into bowls and other forms. On the fourth class students will start to turn their work from the first 3 classes. The fifth class you will practice the skills you have learn’t in the previous classes but won’t be keeping anything made in this class, unless you intend to continue to attend a course, and the final class will be dedicated to glazing your work from a selection of our 20 studio glazes and turning your bowl if you wish to keep it.
Each attendee will have their own dedicated potters wheel, with a maximum of 6 people per class. You pay one fee for the clay, glaze and firing at the leather-hard stage after the work has been turned, this rate is currently £10 per kilo.
There will be essential Health and Safety advice in the first week and ongoing instruction as required during the course. You are advised to arrive on time and not to miss a class as the courses are structured so you learn progressively and consistently.

November to December Cycle -
Every Thursday starting November 7th until December 12th, with classes running for 2.5 hrs at 10am, 2pm and 6:30pm. Taught By Prashant.

Every Monday starting January 6th until February 10th, with classes running for 2.5 hours at 9am.
Every Thursday starting January 9th until February 13th, with classes running for 2.5 hrs at 10am, 2pm and 6:30pm.
