Glaze Making Course - 1 Day
£180.00
10am to 4pm on Friday April 4th.
This is a One Day Glaze Tech and Making Course.
Taught by Lindy Barletta.
This course will teach you how to make a base glaze for stoneware or porcelain clay and firing at cone 8-10 (1260 to 1300) in an electric kiln. These glaze recipes can also be used in reduction firings.
We will go over health and safety information and make the base glaze. We will use colouring oxides in a colour blend making 15 different and ‘original to you’ glazes. Notes of combinations will be made and stoneware test tiles will be supplied. Tiles will then be glazed, labelled and named. Test tiles will be high fired in preparation for collection 1 week to 10 days later.
Time permitting we can discuss glazing techniques and Lindy can demonstrate where possible.
