Handbuilding Square Platter - All Levels

This workshop runs on April 25th from 10am to 1pm. Taught by Lindy Barletta.
On this half day course you will learn how to prepare and roll out clay using traditional techniques. We will then use drop in molds to create platter forms, whilst experimenting with texture, slip and sgraffito techniques to decorate, all culminating in your own unique 12” square platter.
In a small group of up to 6 people come and relax in this engaging and meditative 3 hour workshop. You will come away with new skills and a functional, custom made piece of ceramics which you will be able to collect from Sheen Pottery when notified via email up to four weeks after the class.
This is a perfect workshop for someone completely new to ceramics or individuals looking to refine slab rolling/ drop in mold techniques.

The £90 includes tuition, equipment, clay, firing and glaze costs.
For specialist courses we have a cancellation policy of up to one week before the course start date. A full refund will be issued, minus 10% taken as a handling fee. If you cancel less than one week before the course start date the course is non refundable. If you are unable to attend or miss a session whilst the course is ongoing this is non refundable.
