Throwing Mugs Workshop - All Levels
£180
This workshop runs on Saturday January 25th and Sunday 26th from 10am to 1pm. Taught by Lindy Barletta.
This course will focus on how to throw and refine mugs on the potters wheel, whilst additionally teaching you how to turn, finish and attach handles, focusing on traditional pulled handles whilst also exploring some more modern techniques.
In the course we aim to push your skills as a potter by replicating forms in a fun yet challenging manner. The course is suitable for improvers and intermediate level makers, perhaps not complete beginners but all are welcome to try.
Day 1: (Saturday Jan 25th) We will focus on throwing the mug body, experimenting with shape and clay amount, ending the day with at least two similar shaped mugs.
Day 2: (Sunday Jan 26th) On this day we will and refine the mugs made the day before and attach handles, experimenting with traditional and modern techniques.
