Throwing Lidded Jars - Intermediate

£180

The workshop runs on Friday 28th March and Saturday 29th March from 10am to 1pm at Sheen Pottery Studio. Taught by Lindy Barletta.

In this fantastic short course dedicated to the art of jar making you will learn how to make various shapes whilst exploring the aesthetics and functionality of interlocking mechanisms between the body and the lid.

With a maximum of 6 attendees, each student will have their own dedicated potters wheel. Suitable for makers of an improver or intermediate level looking to push their skills. Please remember to bring an apron and wear clothing you don’t mind getting a bit messy.

Day 1: (Friday March 28th) We will experiment with shape and form throwing an array of jar bodies and lids, including drop in and drop over lids.

Day 2: (Saturday March 29th) On this day we will refine and turn the work thrown the day before, and if time permits experiment with decorating techniques.
