Large stoneware platters handmade with gold lustre rim
These limited edition and unique serving platters hand thrown on the potters wheel are inspired by famous beauties. The ‘Fading Leaves’ design is inspired by Chinese and Japanese Blue & White Ceramics. Their 24KT gold lustre rim frames them perfectly. The faces are my playful interpretations of a Botticelli, Modigliani and a Matisse, painted spontaneously with cobalt oxide brushwork on a satin white glaze. They are functional and an impressive size - perfect for serving food or canapes. Equally they can stand alone as wall art and can come with an ‘Original plate hanger’. Or they make a beautiful table centre piece. I can also make an 18” (45cm) diameter to order. That’s big!
Size 14” diameter. As each piece is hand made by me there are small variations in design and shape.. This is the unique nature of the hand made process.
Care: Wash by hand and not for the microwave as there is a metallic element in the glaze. They can be used in a fan assisted oven and heated up with the oven.
